The heart of this icon is the curved tubular metal frame covered by plush, handcrafted cushions, which outline the profile of the seat.
The nuances created by the folds in the fabric evoke the natural characteristics of the armadillo, from which it takes its name. The workmanship of Armadillo is also visible in the cross-stitching with tone-on-tone or contrasting threads, creating an exquisite geometric pattern.
It is available in one unique colour with stitching to match the Touch and Feel leathers and Velvet in all their colour variants. In the case of the two-tone, the support fabric is made of Velvet 300 or leather Touch 2374 or leather Feel 7209 with contrast stitching that will follow the finish of the cushions. The remaining seat upholstery must be completed with the same type of fabric/leather. The Caleidoscopio version is made with Velvet 135 support fabric and cushions in 30 different colours of the same fabric.
Between 1969 and 1970, Gianni Pareschi designed some of the brand’s most original chairs for Busnelli, including Fiocco, Armadillo, Baffo and Libro. Items that have become icons of radical design, revealing ingenious design skills and unique expressive power.
